Many carpet repairs can be completed to avoid costly carpet replacement.  In this case a dog was closed in the bedroom and dug at the carpet until it unraveled the carpet, and shredded the padding.  We were able to take a piece of carpet from a closet, replace the padding, and seam in the new piece, avoiding the need to replace the rooms entire carpeting.
